Up against the best in the nation, the #16 UCSB men's rugby team put up a fight last Saturday, but failed in their attempt to be the first U.S. collegiate team to beat #1 Cal in the last four years.

The UCSB baseball team picked up its second win of the year over a Pac-10 Conference powerhouse, defeating #22 UCLA 11-8 last night. UCSB also knocked off USC in early April.


Women's Rugby: Wet Conditions, Turnover Sour Gauchos' Sweet 16

Although it appeared to be the better team on the field in its Sweet 16 game against Ohio State, costly turnovers held up the UCSB women's rugby team, allowing the Buckeyes to escape with a 15-10 win in the opening round of the Division I women's rugby playoffs.
