If you've walked through the Arbor lately, you've notice People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals' commanding display juxtaposing photographs of animal and human suffering. I love animals as much as the next guy and agree that our society is in need of reform when it comes to how we treat animals.

The #4 UCSB men's lacrosse team finished its weekend road trip to Arizona with a win and a loss. The Gauchos (7-5 overall, 5-3 Western Collegiate Lacrosse League) lost a tough match to #11 Arizona 9-6 on Saturday, then rebounded with a 10-7 win over #18 Arizona State Sunday.

After capturing the Big West men's and women's championships in February, the UCSB swim team has continued its winning ways into the postseason. With trips to the American Short Course Championships, the NCAA Championships, and the USA Spring Championships the Gauchos have kept themselves busy since the end of regular season.

Despite last weekend's loss to Pepperdine, the #8 UCSB men's volleyball team managed to secure a playoff spot for next week, most likely against long-time rival #6 UCLA, who it will face tonight during the last season home match.
