After two and a half decades of planning, bidding and construction, the Broida Expressway bike path finally celebrates its grand opening at 10:30 a.m. today with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Measuring 900 feet long, 12 feet wide and featuring a 165-foot-long roundabout, the $525,000 new addition to campus runs from Webb Hall to the Materials Research Laboratory.

I have come to a conclusion: Balls must be the loneliest parts of the male reproductive system. Perhaps we could argue that it's the prostate, but I don't agree for one second. Balls are always there, hanging, begging for attention and rarely receiving the kind they deserve. The prostate just hides inside and waits for some nurse who needs a specimen to come along and poke.

It is a part of I.V. culture to compete over who has the worst story - how long it took to get a repair, how much you are paying for parking at your own home, or how much of your deposit you didn't get back. There is a detachment between the space we inhabit for a year and the landlord who we write a monthly check to.

The #69 UCSB men's tennis team made winning look easy on Tuesday with a dominant 6-1 victory over Princeton. After losing 2-1 in doubles, the Gauchos (4-1 overall) swept through singles play, winning each match in straight sets. The home win was key as Santa Barbara plays its next four matches on the road.
