Man Rages Against Car Windows

Police arrested a man early Friday morning for allegedly smashing the windows of 10 to 15 cars while walking through Isla Vista. He was arrested on charges of vandalism and burglary.

Cervin Morris will not pay tuition next year. Neither will his three vice presidents, Andrea Wells, Felicia Cruz and Jared Renfro. It's part of the Associated Students Legal Code. "Each executive officer must receive full payment of university-assessed undergraduate fees, excluding nonresident tuition and health insurance, for each of the Fall, Winter and Spring Quarters for his or her term." These four officers instead pay their tuition from the A.S. General Fund.

The UCSB women's track team triumphed again, this time against rival Cal Poly. The Mustangs lost to the Gauchos 101-95, but the men were not powerful enough to overcome Cal Poly and lost 117-77.

The Beach's current was too strong for the #7 UCSB men's volleyball team this weekend. Santa Barbara allowed #2 Long Beach State to pull the Gauchos to a 3-0 loss in the first round of Mountain Pacific Sports Federation playoffs against the 49ers.
