For the first 20 minutes of play on Saturday night, the UCSB men's basketball team was nearly perfect. The Gauchos drubbed Cal State Fullerton 77-44 at the Thunderdome, holding the Titans to just nine first-half points.

With a new focus placed on defensive pressure, the UCSB women's basketball team won its fifth straight game with a 67-48 win over Cal State Fullerton on Saturday at Titan Gym.

This weekend the UCSB softball team hosted its annual Early Bird Tournament, but things didn't go as planned. Finishing in third place out of four teams and winning three of their scheduled six games, the Gauchos faced an array of talent, streaming from the best of the Big West and Pac-10 conferences.
