Construction on the Little Acorn Park at the corner of El Embarcadero and Sabado Tarde Roads began earlier this month to renovate the area and add new amenities.

The $80,000 plan, put forward by the Isla Vista Recreation and Parks District, includes improvements to irrigation and pathways as well as relocation of an existing electric meter to the corner of the park and remodeling of the memorial for the victims of the 2001 David Attias tragedy.
