ISLA VISTA , Calif. (CNN) — Four people were killed when a driver lost control of his car on a street crowded with pedestrians near the University of California at Santa Barbara, a highway patrol spokesman said Saturday.
UCSB student David Edward Attias, 18, faces DUI and vehicular manslaughter charges in the accident, which happened about 11 p.m. Friday (2 a.m. EST Saturday), said Officer Mike Muell, a spokesman with the California Highway Patrol. {Complete story on CNN}
