I can’t believe the Albino raccoon is dead. He has been here in Isla Vista for at least as long as I have and that is 7+ years! I still remember the first time I saw him. It was a rainy-ass weeknight and he was the only one out with me at 3 a.m. as I marched to Freebirds by myself. He didn’t trip; he just kept on trotting in front of me, as if to say, “Follow me!” We walked together for about a block before he cut out under the bushes behind the apartments on the corner of Cordoba Road.

I am saddened to hear that this is how he passed. He was probably the bravest raccoon around. Poor guy. He will be missed.
